Pc Tablet Input Panel
Help With Tablet Input Components?
Hello!
I need help with my computer tablet functions.
I recently purchased a Wacom tablet, but when I got home, I realized that I could do any inking. The Tablet PC Input Panel would load, and it would show that Windows Journal is installed (since I enabled the Tablet PC Optional Components), but it won’t let me write on the Input Panel. Windows Journal will not load either, as it says “Windows Journal cannot start. There was an error initializing inking components.” I have tried removing and then installing the Tablet Optional Components, but nothing has gotten better.
If anyone can help me out with this issue, it is highly appreciated =)

Oh, and I am running Windows Vista Ultimate, x64. In case that information would be useful =P
Those applications are meant for real TabletPC’s, not for standalone Wacom Tablet’s. A true TabletPC would have you inking directly onto the screen itself.
Those components exist within Vista because MS integrated TabletPC functionality directly into the Vista OS, but they only work when installed on an actual TabletPC.
There might be some work arounds that may allow them to work with a Wacom tablet, but if so I haven’t heard of them. I would search for on-line support forums for Wacom devices and see if they have any useful information.
