which is better for a student to use? a tablet pc or just the ordinary laptops?

i am a college student and i’m quite confuse which is better to use in studying…is it a tablet pc or the ordinary ones? can you give me informations on where i can buy good laptops in manila(philippines) or in pampanga(philippines). prefferably in pampanga. thanks!

In my view ordinary laptops are better for a student and for his home needs. General purpose and rough usage and reliable laptops shud be chosen.
