Tablet pc or laptop for engg college? _____?

well i am goin to a college in usa ….and am doing i dunno most probably electronic engg or so….well i have a desktop pc at home now i wanted to ask was that:
shuld i go for laptop or tablet pc money no constraint for me -:)

As a TabletPC user for many years I highly recommend them. especially for students.

In many science and engineering studies hand written notes are the only way to record some info, like equations or relationship diagrams. You can’t do that with a laptop.

If you go with the TabletPC look at these 2 apps as they are excellent for note taking:

It’s not free, but student discounts make it quite inexpensive.

Microsoft Research Inkseine (beta)

This is a free app from MS’s Research division. It’s not quite as good at setting up a “notebook” style folder system, but has some excellent features since it is built for TPC’s exclusively.
