Why do many music making programs not work with my IBM Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet PC running Vista?

Miroslav Philharmonic sounds awful

Cakewalk Sonar had issues

Techno Ejay had problems

Hammerhead drum station has no sound and messed up functionality

Audacity is missing features

Tassman sounds bad off and on

my old cheap compaq presario with xp had no problems

do i need a better soundcard? or is it integrated to the board?

i heard these lenovo’s were very good … but maybe not so much for music?

If you are looking for a machine for a specific purpose, like music, then you need to pick a machine that meets your requirements. Lenovo’s are very good but primarily for office use – the don’t have the best sound systems in their laptops but most of us business types only use the sound card for meetings and presentations.

Sounds like most of your issue is related to sound so I expect that it is the sound card in your machine. You could check to make sure you have the latest drivers but that is all I can think of.
